A weekend of amazing fireworks and shows!
ORANGE BEACH, AL, June 27, 2011—What’s bigger and louder than a July 4th fireworks show? How about three of them!
The Amphitheater at the Wharf, in Orange Beach, will host firework extravaganzas on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th this Independence Day holiday. All shows begin at 9:00 p.m. each night and are free to the public.
Sponsored by the City of Orange Beach and Red Mountain Entertainment, each show will be synchronized with patriotic music. The public is invited to attend the show at The Wharf but they can also watch the fireworks from across the island.
“Our goal is to provide entertainment and we are going to blow up the sky with the biggest set of shows this island has ever seen,” said Peter Bryan, General Manager of The Amphitheater at The Wharf. “Come enjoy dinner, a milkshake, ride the ferris wheel or do some dancing and watch the fireworks. The Wharf is a great place any time of year, but three nights of fireworks promises to make this a special weekend for families of all ages all week long!”
As a prelude to the three nights of fireworks, The Wharf will present the amazing Laser Spectacular featuring the music of Pink Floyd on Friday July 1st. In its 23rd year, the show has all the excitement of a live concert with multi-screen video projection and state-of-the-art laser technology, all choreographed to one of the greatest bands of all time. General admission tickets for the Laser Spectacular are only $10.00 in advance and $15.00 day of show. Kids 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult!
On Saturday, July 2nd, The Wharf will step back in time with The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute, a group that has risen far above every other Beatles tribute band due to the precise attention to detail. With un-canny note-for-note live renditions of Beatles’ songs, The Fab Four will have the whole family rocking along. General admission tickets for The Fab Four are only $15.00 in advance. Limited reserved seat tickets are also available. Kids 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult!
Fireworks shows each night on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th are open to the general public at no charge and begin at 9pm.
On Thursday, July 7th legendary rock band Poison will perform at the Amphitheater. To date, the group has sold over 30 million records worldwide, charted 25 Top 40 singles, including its number one hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. Tickets for Poison start at only $16.00!
The Wharf is one of the area’s largest attractions and a one-of a kind destination marina boasting dozens of boutique gift shops, restaurants and even a ferris wheel that provides a stunning panorama of the whole region.
