Nashville’s premiere outdoor music venue The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel, set on a beautiful terraced hillside on the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion & Farm 15 minutes outside Nashville, has announced the first seven shows for the inaugural season. From classic and alternative rock to rockin’ country and an evening of award-winning bluegrass, The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel is set to take live music to a new level in Nashville. The concert series at The Woods Amphitheater is being produced Red Mountain & Blue Deuce Entertainment.

The 2011 season will kick off with Chicago and Los Lonely Boys on Saturday, April 23. The Stone Temple Pilots follow on Sunday, May 1. Steve Martin will be joined by the Steep Canyon Rangers to play music from his Grammy Award-winning bluegrass album on Friday, May 27. The previously-announced Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown Tour will kick off the CMA Music Festival week on Friday, June 3. Venerable rock groups Yes and Styx will appear Saturday, July 16, and the always amazing Steely Dan will hit the stage Friday, August 19. The Xtreme Music The Tour with Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and special guest Cowboy Troy + Two Foot Fred is set for Friday, September 2. Additional shows will be added throughout the exciting season.


“The caliber of acts we’ve already booked for our first full season shows how important a venue this size is to the live music market in Nashville,” said Fontanel co-owner Marc Oswald. “We’ve been missing out on some great music here, but now these acts have a home at The Woods.”


Individual tickets for each show will go on sale Saturday, March 12, 2011 through and the Fontanel Box Office. For a limited time, a four-show Mega Ticket is being offered from March 6 - 11, 2011, which includes Chicago with Los Lonely Boys, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, Yes with Styx and Steely Dan. Prices include the $289 Platinum Package, $213 Gold Package and the $109.50 Silver Package (General Admission lawn seating.) Prices are per ticket in the same seat for each concert and include a voucher to tour the Fontanel Mansion. Ticket prices are plus applicable Ticketmaster fees.

"Music lovers in Nashville will have an opportunity to see their favorite artists in a very unique, outdoor setting," Weinberger continued.
