ZZ TOP SETS JUNE 5 APPEARANCE AT THE WOODS AMPHITHEATER AT FONTANEL
Tickets On Sale Friday, April 29
(Nashville, Tennessee…) – That Little Ol’ Band From Texas, blues-rock icons ZZ Top, are scheduled to play Nashville’s premiere outdoor music venue The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 29, 2011 through all Ticketmaster locations and the Fontanel Box Office.
After almost 36 years of rock and blues, ZZ Top is the longest running major rock band with original band members Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard. Their third album, Tres Hombres, catapulted them to national attention with the hit "La Grange," still one of the band's signature pieces today. A certified rock institution, contemporary in every way, yet still completely connected to the founding fathers of the genre, ZZ Top's music is instantly recognizable, eminently powerful, profoundly soulful and 100% Texas American in derivation.
Set on a beautiful terraced hillside on the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion & Farm just 10 minutes from Nashville, The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel has already announced the following dates for its inaugural season:
April 23 Chicago and Los Lonely Boys
May 1 Stone Temple Pilots
May 27 Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers
June 3 Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown Tour
July 16 Yes and Styx
August 19 Steely Dan
September 2 Xtreme Music - The Tour with Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson
Additional shows will be added throughout the exciting season. The concert series at The Woods Amphitheater is being produced Red Mountain & Blue Deuce Entertainment.
Reserved seats for ZZ Top are $73.00, $49.50 and $39.50 and General Admission tickets are $25.00 each. All ticket prices are plus applicable taxes and fees.
